There are over 100 titles announced for the Nintendo Wii in Japan. Some of these will never see the light of day over here in the US, but there are some titles that I am sure will. Animal Crossing, a new Donkey Kong racing game and Bio-Hazard (Resident Evil) will hit the states for sure.  I also noticed a baseball and soccer game from Konami…

IGN Confirms Opera Web Browser Free (until June 2007)

Earlier in the day it many people saw on the new Wii website that you will have to purchase the Opera web browser. IGN Wii has just confirmed that it will actually be free to download until the software up until June 2006.

Internet Channel
Go here to access the Opera internet browser. In addition to supporting flash (making this a step up from the DS browser), the browser uses the Wiimote to zoom in and out. The browser will normally cost money, but Nintendo will make it available for free download until June of 2006.

You saw the boat-load of games for the Nintendo Wii, now you can check out video for the system interface (Dashboard). The official Nintendo of Japan website shows off the Web Browser, Weather info system, Mii TV, Avatar editor and tons more. At least we know now that we can make our own images (as in facial looks) in our Wii controller and use them in games like Wii Sports. I remember Miyamoto talking about that at E3.
